Dynamic gymnastics for babies

Content

Seeing your child developed and healthy is the dream of all parents. Some to achieve the goal of resorting to traditional at an early age massage and gymnastics. Others opt for a dynamic gymnastics, which, at first glance, looks like a uniform mockery of a baby - it is twisted, thrown up, raised by the arms and legs, like a rag doll. Is it so scary and dangerous dynamic gymnastics, how to hold it at home, we will tell in this article.

Special features

Dynamic gymnastics is completely unlike normal exercise for newborns and infants. The technique was invented and "let into the masses" by physiologists, early development specialists Mikhail Trunov and Leonid Kitayev. Therefore, it is often referred to simply as “Trunov-Kitayev gymnastics”.

The main difference lies in the fact that in classical gymnastics exercises are carried out to the child, who is in a static or light mobile state. In dynamic gymnastics, the effect on the muscles is more intense movement. As a result, not only the baby’s muscles are trained, but also his vestibular apparatus.

The complex of Trunov and Kitaev includes hardening, massage, exercises in the air and exercises on a gymnastic ball. Despite the wide distribution and popularity of these authors, their method has a considerable number of opponents, among which most modern pediatricians, including the famous doctor Komarovsky.

Opponents argue their position by the fact that home use of dynamic gymnastics is a big risk to the life and health of a baby. During acrobatic tricks, the baby can get serious injuries, even very loving parents are not professional massage therapists and exercise therapy specialists, they do not have a detailed and detailed idea of the anatomical location of individual muscles and ligaments in the human body.

Proponents of dynamic studies claim that it is not learning how to work, but the benefits, they said, are obvious:

  • baby's orientation in space improves;
  • increased muscle tone, characteristic of all infants;
  • the vestibular apparatus develops and the nervous system is improved;
  • the child learns to trust an adult by relying on his strong arms.

Supporters and fans of dynamic exercises for babies argue that this technique can compensate for a child who was born through a cesarean section, which is necessary for the harmonious development of a lack of generic experience. Also, Kitaev and Trunov assure parents that children who grow up on such exercises are less likely to be injured in the future by accident - breaking their arm or leg with a trained vestibular apparatus and the ability to group together will be much more difficult.

What to consider?

When deciding to start practicing the system of Trunov and Kitaev, parents should weigh the pros and cons well. Many pediatricians and child psychologists claim that it is impossible not to take into account possible dangers. Even if parents use both hands for dynamic gymnastics, they should know everything against in order to minimize the risks.

First of all, such gymnastics is an undoubted stress for a newborn. Not just stress, but strong stress. Nowhere in nature it is customary to shake, toss and spin the young in the air.See how carefully a cat carries a kitten, how carefully other animals do it. From the point of view of natural laws, human cubs also have no prerequisites from the very birth to start flying and turning over in the air. So stress is inevitable.

It can only be minimized by the right approach — knowing when to start such exercises, how to increase the load. It is better to introduce dynamic exercises gradually, so that the baby has a softer transition to an atypical body position.

The basis of many exercises of the Kitaev and Trunov systems is the use of the inborn reflexes of the baby. But such reflexes should disappear by the age of 3-4 months, it is quite natural. If you overdo it with dynamic gymnastics, there will be a slow extinction of infant reflexes, which will inhibit the development of the child.

Traumatologists warn that it can be difficult for parents to measure their strength, and therefore, after the first experiments of dynamic gymnastics without a specialist, children often end up in hospital with sprains, fractures and other injuries. But psychologists warn that a baby may have a wrong perception of height, which in the future may make it a brilliant parachutist or mountaineer, but it can also cause fatal injuries due to the lack of a natural sense of fear necessary for survival.

General rules

If, despite all the warnings, parents are determined to engage in dynamic gymnastics with their baby, you need to enroll in a special group that the so-called baby trainers, exercise therapy specialists have, in order to see how professionals do it, to learn tricks. It is about the health of your baby, here bargaining, as they say, is inappropriate.

Experts recommend starting to do this type of exercise with your baby no earlier than 1.5 months.

It is important that the child has no contraindications. We will tell about them below. Therefore, good and proper coaches always ask parents for help from a pediatrician that the doctor does not object to training. You also need to prepare for the fact that doctors usually refuse to give such a certificate - no one wants to take responsibility for the life of the baby, if the parents have decided to test certain techniques on it.

The Internet and video tutorials, which can be very useful in mastering the techniques of classical massage and gymnastics for babies, are not helpful in matters of dynamic gymnastics. It is impossible to study remotely.

Directly to the dynamic exercises, it is recommended to go after a 10-15-minute massage and elements of static gymnastics, so that the muscles and ligaments of the child are warmed up.

After eating, you should wait about an hour so that the baby does not burp. The place of employment must be thought out to the smallest detail and completely safe, even if a fall occurs (and this can happen!).

Contraindications

Dynamic exercises are strictly contraindicated for children with the following problems:

  • birth trauma;
  • hip dysplasia, physiological immaturity of the joints;
  • underweight (low birth weight);
  • the presence of an inguinal or umbilical hernia;
  • congenital heart defects;
  • various neurological disorders, including ischemia.
Hip dysplasia
Underweight newborn
Umbilical hernia

Please note that the authors of the methodology themselves emphasize - classes makes sense to hold only at an early age.

If the baby developed up to 6 months and lived like everyone else, he was given the usual massage and regular exercises, it is useless and very dangerous to switch to a dynamic program. Benefit from it for such a large child, not previously engaged in this, will not be.

Set of exercises

Usually in the complex neurodynamic gymnastics for kids at the initial stage, rocking and coups are introduced. An adult raises the baby only by the handles, standing upright.Gives it hang in the air. Then he lifts upside down by the legs.

In the same positions perform the "Upper Pendulum" and "Lower Pendulum". An adult stands and swings the baby like a pendulum, first in the upside-down position, then for the legs upside down.

For more advanced stages of training, tossing and tossing with flips is provided. But the basis of the technique still make up the traditional VIS and interceptions. The most common is the exercise "Sun", in which the parent holds the child's right arm and leg on weight, and then picks up limbs in a circle - grabs the left leg, left arm, again goes to the right side. It turns out that the kid makes the "wheel" in the air.

A safer and easier to learn is a block of exercises on fitball, which, by the way, also applies to dynamic gymnastics. It is more common because the swinging on the ball on the stomach or back is not as scary for parents as the risky elements of the first part of the methodology of Trunov and Kitayev.

Reviews

Many parents, discussing on the Internet the possibility of practicing dynamic gymnastics with their babies, stress that authoritative osteopaths, psychologists and surgeons categorically object to such exercises not only because of the traumatic danger, but also because of the initially questionable benefits for the development of the child. The vestibular apparatus should develop gradually, and not stressfully.

Some parents refuse to engage in dynamic gymnastics after the first lesson from a professional - for most mothers, it is absolutely unbearable to even watch her child twist like a rag doll.

Some parents quite successfully apply the exercises, but not entirely dynamic, but only the simplest and safest of the complex, they usually complete the most ordinary home massage and the usual daily gymnastics.

On the subtleties of performing dynamic gymnastics for babies at home will tell a specialist in therapeutic rehabilitation massage in the next video.
